This is a relatively new area of our business that entails windmill generators and solar cells for alternative power sources. We have been involved in many of the Automotive Technical Center prototype installations. Furthermore, we are often involved in the LEEDS analysis during the Design / Build process.
We have had experience with work associated with the Cement industry. There is not a high concentration of work for this Industry in the area, but we have installed Cement Silos, transfer conveyors and cement processing equipment for the LaFarge Corporation both in the Detroit and the Alpena, MI locations.
Although not one of our primary markets, we have been involved in many school related projects. Lately, most of these opportunities have been through our Data/Communication portion of our business. This market sector has mostly been documented by non-union contractors which puts us at a distinct competitive disadvantage. However, large bonded projects are clearly in our market niche.
SEGLC has hospital construction experience and the bonding and engineering capacity to handle complicated and involved medical projects. Our 3D engineering and modeling capability dovetails nicely with the extensive engineering requirements demanded for hospital construction.
Civil / State projects require the ability of an electrical subcontractor to work closely with road and site development contractors to install parking lots, roads, test tracks and similar large scale projects. We have the tools, manpower and engineering capability to handle these types of installations very smoothly and efficiently. Furthermore, these projects oftentimes require integration with our High Voltage and Data / Communication groups for a total complete project.
